We analysed data management processes at the World Bank and provided recommendations for improvements to statistical data production.
The World Bank is one of the world’s major contributors of global development data. A large part of its work includes collecting data sets known as ‘indicators’ to measure the progress of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). While working as CEO at the data management company Datopian, Paul co-authored a whitepaper commissioned by the Bank to assess the ways in which the open-source toolkit Frictionless Data could benefit statistical organizations in the production of SDG indicators. You can read the full report (‘A Frictionless Approach to Statistics and SDG Indicators’) on the World Bank documents database here.
